Bezel Setting Rounded Cabochons

I will be teaching a two-day class, ‘Bezel Setting Rounded Cabochons’, at BeadFX in Toronto.

When: Saturday, July 20, 9:30am – 5:00pm, and Sunday, July 21st, 11:00am – 4:30pm

Course outline: Students will create simple jewellery decorated with sterling silver settings to showcase a favourite cabochon. Students will be introduced to using a jewellers saw-frame, silver soldering, bezel setting, and metal polishing techniques. Students will use fine silver bezel wire to form a custom-shaped bezel for a cabochon of their choice. Cabochons should not be larger than 40mm in diameter, and should have no corners. This course is suitable for learning to set cabochons made from gemstone, glass, or enamel.
