Cloissone Enamel on Sheet Metal

  • BeadFX 19 Waterman Ave #2 East York, ON M4B 1Y2 Canada (map)

I will be teaching a 'Cloissone Enamel on Sheet Metal' class at BeadFX in Toronto.

Day 1: Saturday, March 16; 10am – 5pm
Day 2: Sunday, March 17; 11am – 4pm

Course outline: Cloisonne is a style of enamelling that uses fine wires to create a design of glass and metal. The wires are used to form partitions – cloisons – that aid in colour shading and help to create the overall design. In this class, students will create original jewellery designs or components using copper or fine silver sheet metal, fine silver wire and colourful vitreous glass enamel. Fall in love with the luminous glow of glass fused to metal!
